Dixie and Trixie are two bonded sisters who were cruelly dumped near a USA Parkway jobsite and had found shelter under an abandoned RV, where they remained for at least several days until they were spotted by a kind construction worker. He was able to catch and hold them until WARF could pick them up. As they were microchipped, we were able to contact the owner, who had moved away some time ago and entrusted the sisters to someone who must then have grown tired of caring for them, abandoning them in an area that was miles away from the nearest housing development. While somewhat shy at first, these girls are amazingly resilient given what they went through prior to their rescue. We are hopeful that we can find them a home together since they managed to stay with each other through what must have been some very traumatic days and nights on their own.
