Arlo is such a good boy-- he is crate-trained, doesn't bark and is not an escape artist. He has been raised with cats and is great with them--either plays with them or leaves them alone altogether. He has not been around children, but loves people, so would likely be fine with kids. Arlo had NARES surgery in 2025, and now breathes comfortably and quietly. Arlo's family has to re-home him because they have 3 other dogs, which seems to be too much for Arlo. He struggles to settle down with so much dog energy and shows aggression toward the older male dog. He does not resource guard food, but with his dog siblings, he gets very protective with toys. His parents are expecting a (human) baby in September and cannot risk having dogs fighting around the baby. Arlo needs an owner familiar with his breed and would do best as the only dog in the home or possibly with a female dog sibling. That said, in a calmer environment, Arlo will be a wonderful pet. He is such a lover and very much wants to please his humans. When away from the other dogs, Arlo settles down quickly and is an easy, low-maintenance dog. He has shown no aggression to dogs other than his siblings, in his own yard. Arlo is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his shots.
